You can play for a variety of Pick 3 prizes in Vermont. You first need to decide how to play and how much to wager. Winning a Straight, for example, rewards you with 500x your play amount, so if you bet the maximum $5 you could pocket as much as $2,500.
The following table shows you exactly how much you can win for each play type, along with the odds of winning for each one.
Play Type | Odds of Winning | Prize ($0.50 Bet) | Prize ($1 Bet) | Prize ($5 Bet) |
---|---|---|---|---|

Single Digit | 1 in 10 | $2.50 | $5 | $25 |
All the prize amounts are fixed, so you don’t have to share a payout with anyone else if there are multiple winners. However, the Tri-State Lottery has set a limit of $100,000 per state for how much can be paid out in a single draw. In the unlikely event that so many tickets were bought for a particular number combination that $100,000 would be paid out if those digits were drawn, the Vermont Lottery would stop accepting wagers on that number.
You can claim prizes of up to $499 from authorized Vermont Lottery agents, but larger amounts must be claimed from People’s United Bank locations or from the Vermont Lottery Headquarters in Berlin. You’ll need to provide a claim form and valid identification for any prize of $500 or more. If you are submitting a winning ticket by mail you should send it to the Vermont Lottery, 1311 US Route 302, Suite 100, Barre, VT 05641.
