What time do sales stop?

Why is it called Tri-State Pick 3?
The Tri-State Lottery is a multi-jurisdictional lottery organisation comprising the state lotteries of Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire. Together, these state lotteries offer a single version of Pick 3 rather than their own individual games.
How do I play?
To play Pick 3, you have to choose a play type, then select your numbers between 0 and 9. You can choose your own or get a Quick Pick for a random selection.
What play types can I choose from?
You can play a Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Front Pair, Back Pair or Single Digit. Go to the How to Play page for more information about each play type.
How much does it cost?
You can decide how much to pay, from as little as $0.50 per bet up to $5.
How old do I have to be to buy a ticket?
The minimum age to play the lottery in Vermont is 18.
What prizes can I win?
The prize you can win depends on your bet type and play amount. For example, if you play a Straight and wager $5, you will win $2,500 if you match all three numbers exactly. The other play types do not offer such high prizes, but the odds of winning are better.
Which play type has the best odds?
You are most likely to win with a Single Digit wager, where you just have to predict one number in the correct position. Your chances of winning with a Single Digit bet are 1 in 10. Go to the Payouts & Odds page for more information.
Can I enter my numbers into more than one drawing?
Yes, you can play the same numbers in up to 21 consecutive Day drawings or Evening drawings, or 42 altogether if you play both draw times.
Will I always be allowed to pick the numbers I want?
From time to time the Vermont Lottery has to suspend sales for the most popular number combinations (usually triples such as 111 or 777). This is because there is a limit to how much can be paid out, set at $100,000 per state.
Can I cancel a ticket after I have bought it?
Yes, but only if the relevant drawing has not yet taken place. Cancellations must also be made at the same location where the ticket was purchased.
How do I claim prizes?
For prizes of up to $499, you can just visit a Vermont Lottery retailer to claim your cash. If you win a larger amount, you can visit a People’s United Bank location or go to the Vermont Lottery Headquarters in Berlin.
